decarbonization

For the monetization of low-value petroleum residues, biomass, biogas, bio-oils, some technologies can be used for gasification to produce syngas. The most common is the partial oxidizer for hydrocarbons products and pyrolysis for organic waste. Syngas can be converted to methane using a methanation process or methanol, ethanol, DME through a Fisher Tropsch technology.

Conversion of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane (CH4) through hydrogenation in the presence of a catalyst.
